Poland's UEFA European Championship journey spans four consecutive appearances: Euro 2008, Euro 2012, Euro 2016, and Euro 2020. Although the European Championship was established in 1960, Poland took 48 years to qualify, having attended five FIFA World Cup finals and secured third place in two. The long wait included multiple defeats, even with esteemed coaches like Kazimierz Górski and Antoni Piechniczek. Poland was one of the last major UEFA members to debut in the Euros, with their qualification coming in 2008. In 2008 and 2012, Poland's performances left much to be desired, finishing last in the group stage both times. Euro 2016 marked a turning point as they secured their first Euro win against Northern Ireland and reached the quarter-finals, their best showing since the 1982 FIFA World Cup.
