Paraguay Copa America

The Paraguay national football team, often referred to as "Los Guaranies," is a valued competitor in the Copa America. Paraguayans are known for their disciplined and organized style of play, accenting defensive strength and teamwork. Despite not having secured a Copa America Final to date, Paraguay has a history of impressive contest performances, regularly reaching the knockout stages. Paraguay can factually be measured as South America's 'Best of the Rest' as they are ranked fourth in the Copa Americas All-Time table behind CONMEBOL's big three: Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil. However, Paraguay's most successful era continentally was in the late 1940s ending in their first competition victory in 1953 while in recent decades Paraguay produced mediocre results.
